I worked in many different facets of and positions in Broadcast Media for three decades. A few years ago, I decided to do some traveling. When I got back, it occured to me that I could make a decent living doing voiceover work; a lifestyle that offered me a healthy amount of free time day-to-day.

I quickly discovered that while voice-over work is fantastic, the industry that is voiceover is anything but pleasant. Talent looking for services and clients looking to hire voice talent need to be very careful; most of those in the voice talent business have little in the way of integrity. I hope someday, this improves….but being a very “new” kind of service, like anything else…..it will take a while before there’s some meaningful discussions regarding regulation.

So, I decided that if I were going to do this work for a living, I would try to uphold a standard for rates, service and product quality. Thus “The Gold Standard in VO” logo – I thought I should at least try to qualify the brand…lol.

It’s my hope that by way of your professional consideration of my talent and services, you will come to understand the difference experience and quality can make to a project requiring professional voice talent services.

Thanks for your time!

Sincerely,

Gus Richards
